Studio Meala becomes this year’s winner at the local Roscommon Enterprise Awards 2022.

Studio Meala Limited, an animation studio based in The Spool Factory, Boyle, Co. Roscommon, wins this years local County Roscommon Enterprise award, which took place  earlier this month at the Abbey Hotel Roscommon. The Studio, launched in 2019 by Stephen Fagan, Jerry Twomey and Sean Cunningham, has experienced continuous growth and development year on year, and now provides animation production services for many leading international studios, broadcasters and streaming platforms as well as having a number of its’ own animation series in development.

Stephen said “We want to thank Roscommon LEO and all who have helped us along since we moved to Boyle. We are really looking forward to our future here and the opportunities that being located in a developing and progressive town like Boyle can bring to us and the community in general”.

Studio Meala are now looking forward to competing against 30 other finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €35,000 winners prize fund as national judging gets underway in May.
