The deal closed in October and provides Princess Pictures expanded production service capabilities for its in-house and third-party projects.
Established in 2000, Boulder Media is one of Ireland’s most prolific animation studios. Their considerable portfolio of content produced over its 22 years have garnered numerous awards and nominations, such as BAFTAs, Emmys, ANNIEs, IFTAs, British Animation Awards, Cartoons on the Bay and Irish Animation Awards, to name a few.
Boulder Media was delighted to announce, in early December, that they have signed a multi-year multi production output agreement with Bento Box Entertainment. Under this arrangement Boulder Media will provide production services for several primetime animated series delivered under the Bento Box banner, including FOX’s upcoming comedies Krapopolis, from creator Dan Harmon and featuring the voices of Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy and Duncan Trussell, and the first season of Grimsburg, executive produced by and starring Jon Hamm. In addition to the work with Bento Box, Boulder will continue to work with various other studios such as Disney TVA, Warners, Netflix and others represented by Chatrone.
It is a very exciting time for Boulder Media as they move into new genres of animation, – further extending their offering and allowing them to recruit for numerous new roles in early 2023 and beyond. A huge recruitment drive is underway just now.
