In June 2021 Screen Ireland and Animation Ireland announced its recipients of a new development fund “Animation Concept and Innovation Fund”.
Pink Kong Studios is among the 10 projects selected and is now in development with this new innovative project.
Project proposal: StoryVerse- Myth Masters is a multi-player augmented reality game for children consisting of highly entertaining gameplay coupled with engaging epic storylines. Players strategise and compete using their favourite characters from ancient myths and legends. It is education by stealth, through animation and the magic of augmented reality.
Pink Kong Studios has a history of working on successful innovative projects with their first Virtual Reality Short film “AURORA” receiving several awards, including winner at the “Infinity Film Festival- Beverly Hills”, nominations including “Film of the Year” at the VR Awards and “Best 3D/ VR Content” at the Lumiere Awards to name a few.
This new Augmented Reality project is going to push the innovation boundaries further for Pink Kong Studios. Using Virtual Reality design tools to create the characters & the world and using real time rendering engines to bring the stories to life.
A proof of concept and strategic plan is set for completion in Q1 2022.
