Cardel was selected for Cartoon 360 in Lille, France to pitch a stop motion animation series “Günter Falls In Love” created by Josephine Lohoar Self, to play over the Christmas season on the “Shorts Yule Love” programme 2020. The series pitch was based on the award winning short film commissioned by RTÉ. The short was nominated as Best Short Animation at the Irish Film and Television Academy Awards 2021.

Cardel plans to mount the production as a European Co-Production to bring this heart-felt, stop motion tale to life.
The creator Josephine Lohoar Self is an emerging filmmaker whose previous short stop motion animated film The Fabric of You, was longlisted for Best Animated Short at the OSCARS (2021) as well as being nominated for a Scottish BAFTA. It received a Special Mention during its premiere at The Edinburgh International Film Festival (2019) and went on to play at Oscar Qualifying festivals around the world.
