Cardel was commissioned by RTÉ to create Dagda’s Harp, part of A Breath of Fresh Scare, an animated series for Young People celebrating Halloween.

Dagda’s Harp mashes up elements of folklore and modern inner city life to one hell of a funky soundtrack. Plus there’s narration by Jordan Kelly aka the musician Strange Boy. The creator Daniel Quirke is a director who specialises in stop motion and mixed media animation techniques. His film The Song of A Lost Boy, was nominated for 2021’s Best Short Animation BAFTA.
