A great first quarter for Kavaleer

1 – Kavaleer premiered ‘Adam Saves Christmas! On RTEjr and RTE1 on Christmas Eve. The special, a spin-off from their forthcoming series ‘Adam ♥Adventure!’ stars Late Late Toy Show and ‘Virtual Hug’ hero Adam King, Ryan Tubridy as Santa and Seana Kerslake as Frizzle. It received over double the viewing figures across all channels against the next most viewed program in its time slot. The series was also the focus of the panels ‘The Business of Diversity and Inclusion’ at Cartoon Business in December and ‘King of Cartoons’ at Animation Dingle on 11th March, featuring Adam and David King, director Andrew Kavanagh and composer Lloyd Coleman. The animation also featured prominently in a BBC Breakfast interview with Ben Thompson on March 13th.

2 – Season 2 of ‘Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese premiered on CBBC in January, and will shortly begin airing on RTE. Season 1 was released on Netflix UK / Ireland in February and reached #3 slot in Kids by the end of its first week. Other recent International sales for the show include Disney, Warner Media, MCC3 and SIC.

3 – Kavaleer’s latest original show, ‘Alva’s World’ launched 26 new episodes on RTEjr on World Safer Internet Day, February 8th. The show also launched on YLE (Finland) and ABC (Australia) in January and will receive its US premiere on Azoomee / DaVinci in April 2022  and new episodes will be streaming on Sky Kids in the near future.

4 – Circle Square was nominated for three British Animation Awards at the BAAs in March, for Best Writing (Myles McLeod), Best Design (Greg McLeod) and Best Preschool.

5 – Kavaleer continued their successful partnership with Rugby Players Ireland in their ‘Tackle Your Feelings’ campaign, creating an animation with Ireland and Munster legend Joey Carbery, which was launched in February. The next short begins production next month, for launch in June 2022.
