Cardel was selected to pitch a 2D animated series Cap N’ Cat with creator Katarina Lundquist at Cartoon Forum 2021 which took place in Toulouse, France from the 20th to 23rd September.
“The eccentric pirate “Cap” and the determined fisherman “Cat” have to overcome their differences and work together as they sail through the pirate infested sea of Redfoam.”
The creator Katarina Lundquist is an award-winning director with a bachelor’s degree from The Animation Workshop, where she graduated in 2019 after directing the short film Forglemmegei (Forget-Me-Not). The short has travelled all across the world attending countless animation film festivals, and was also on the shortlist for the Student BAFTA’s. In 2020 she directed the Christmas campaigns which Cardel produced for Dogs Trust Ireland and Dogs Trust UK, and which are currently airing again this Christmas season.
