In August 2019, Women in Animation Ireland held their annual Creative Cookout Event, with sponsorship from Animation Ireland, Animation Skillnet and Screen Skills Ireland. Once again, the event was a huge success, with over 200 people from the animation industry in attendance.
This year’s event also included the first of a new series of one-to-one speed meetings dubbed ‘Happy Hour Hustle’. Happy Hour Hustle is an opportunity for creatives to make new connections and its inaugural event was a hit!

Creative Cookout is an amazing opportunity to celebrate the hard-working creative crews for all their contributions to the Irish Animation industry, which continues to thrive on a global scale due to their talent and dedication. And it’s always such a joy to receive emails after the event from students and graduates who manage to find studio placements as a direct result of meeting people at the Cookout.
