We have an exciting and unique opportunity to join Turnip + Duck as audio production support on the groundbreaking new series “Maddie + Triggs”.

The role requires an efficient, effective, organised individual with a passion for sound, an appetite for learning, and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

We’re looking for a fast learner who is organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn the ropes of how a busy production works.

About the show

“Maddie + Triggs” is an inclusive preschool musical comedy series aimed at children aged 4 to 7 for CBeebies and RTÉjr and follows the adventures of Maddie, a visually impaired 7-year-old girl, and her dog Triggs, who find music through the sounds of everyday life.

Level: Junior/Mid

Responsibilities

Reporting to the series Head of Audio, you will be required to:
● Assist with creation of assembly radio plays based on signed off scripts.
● Source and selecting sound effects to create an engaging sonic world.
● Assist with full sound design (to animated picture), including selection and detailed
placement of spot effects and ambient beds.
● Where necessary, creation of original sound effects (foley)
● Bring together dialog, sound effects and music to create engaging, entertaining sonic
stories.

Skills

● Proactive approach to work.
● Technically proficient in Pro Tools & Logic (or other comparable DAWs)
● Have an ear for dialogue and comedy timing.
● A working knowledge of music production is a bonus.
● Organised and self directed.

● Good communicator.
● Task orientated, and able to manage own workload.
● Ability to think creatively and solve problems as they arise.
● Ideally have a working home studio / audio editing station as this is a remote position.
● Knowledge of 2D animation process, including scripting a bonus.
● Knowledge of video editing software a bonus.
● Confidence and enthusiasm in working with people.
● Experience in google suite a bonus.
● Must be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
● Ability to act on own initiative and strong problem-solving ability.
● Attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
● Enthusiasm and positivity and an eagerness to learn and develop.

Contract

● Full time, fixed term PAYE 12-month contract.
● This is a trainee role and trainee rates will apply.
● Flexible working hours.

Location

● Remote. Must be based in the Republic of Ireland.
