We are seeking an Administration & Communications Officer to join our team in either a fully remote or hybrid capacity, on a 12 month, full-time, fixed-term contract.
This role is central to driving our engagement strategies, supporting key operations, and promoting our vibrant community.
Animation Ireland is the representative body for the animation industry on the island of Ireland, encompassing fifty leading studios that employ over 2,500 full-time professionals. Our members are at the forefront of global animation, producing award-winning content that reaches diverse audiences in over 180 countries. From animated films and television series to innovative digital content, our studios are recognised as world leaders, creating high-value employment and driving significant investment across all regions of Ireland.

Animation Ireland represents the excellence of Ireland’s animation content creation and production to both national and international audiences. We position animation as an essential component of Ireland’s creative and screen industries, providing a cohesive voice for our studios and advocating for government, policy makers, and stakeholders to support the continued development of a world-class animation industry.
We build strong partnerships to drive innovation, address shared industry challenges, and enhance the competency of our sector through targeted programmes and initiatives in collaboration with education and training partners. By providing vital information and support to our member studios, we enable them to thrive in the competitive global marketplace.

About the role
Internal Communication
- Maintain close, effective communication with the CEO, Chair, Head of Operations, Team from the National Talent Academy for Animation, and board members to achieve organisational objectives.
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the management team, including event organisation, bookings, and data management.
- Coordinate Board and subcommittee meetings, including distributing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action points.
Communication with Members
- Support regular member engagement through consistent email updates and the drafting and distribution of newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Manage the Animation Ireland website by updating member profiles, posting job openings, listing events, and handling general site maintenance.
- Showcase member achievements and communicate the core benefits of membership through consistent outreach and presence at industry events.
Communication with Stakeholders and the Public
- Manage all primary social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) with timely news and updates.
- Strengthen partnerships and collaboration with key industry stakeholders (Screen Ireland, RTÉ, Enterprise Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán, Revenue, and Government departments) through regular representation and dialogue.
- Design and draft comprehensive event reports and funding applications as required.
Requirements – Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- This is a hybrid position, but applicants must be physically located and tax resident in Ireland.
- Prior experience in office administration, or managing social media for an organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication alongside strong customer service skills.
- High attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, Google Suite, and online platforms (Zoom, Mailchimp, Doodle).
- Experience with WordPress, Content Management Systems (CMS), and CSS is preferred.
- Some experience and eye for design, photography and layout is welcome. (Adobe Suite, Canva or other design software)
Salary: €30,000 pa. Negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications.
