The Netflix series follows scientist Ada Twist and her best friends Rosie Revere, Engineer, and Iggy Peck, Architect, as they use science to solve problems and learn new things about their world – and it’s back with a brand-new season on Netflix.
Ada Twist, Scientist is based on the best-selling children’s book series by author Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts. 8-year-old Ada Twist is a pint-sized scientist with a giant-sized curiosity, who aspires to discover the truth about absolutely everything. As a young scientist, Ada knows there’s no problem that science can’t help her solve!
Each episode of Ada Twist, Scientist follows Ada’s adventures as she encounters new problems and discoveries with her friends. Together, they ask scientific questions, form hypotheses, and load up the lab to test their theories and learn new things. At the end of the episode, viewers get to hear from real-life scientists who break down concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

Brown Bag Films attends the 2022 Aldi Community Games! – Brown Bag Labs
All artists have to start somewhere, and for some members of the Brown Bag Films team, it all began with the Aldi Community Games!
The Aldi Community Games is an Irish based annual event where children aged six to sixteen are invited to compete in a wide range of activities including art, handwriting, singing, dancing, chess and model making. These games aim to provide opportunities for children to develop active, healthy lives in a safe environment while learning the value of community spirit, creativity and teamwork.
Last August, the Brown Bag Films team volunteered at the 2022 Aldi Community Games, running free digital animation workshops and hosting all-day screenings of Brown Bag Films shows. The event was opened by Brown Bag Films Group Creative Director, Darragh O’Connell, who told those in attendance:
“I am very inspired to see the level of talent and commitment from the children here today, I can see future animators and maybe even Oscar nominees in the making!”
Darragh was joined by other Brown Bag Films team members, including 3D Animator Iobhar Stokes and Head of Environments, Layout & FX, Matthew Lloyd. These three are all former community games alumni, having earned medals of their own when they participated as children.
When asked how he felt about Brown Bag’s involvement this year, Darragh shared:
“I love supporting the kids who have a chance of making art their careers – that wasn’t an option we had back in the ’80s! I also want to take the opportunity to help convince the parents of these kids that they can follow their passions and it can be so rewarding.”
