Animation Dingle commits to delivering the very best in Animation from Ireland and around the globe to the Animation Dingle Festival annually; delivering through conference, workshops, screenings and awards and in the spirit of sharing and supporting. We commit to a 50/50 student/professional ratio and we commit to a 50/50 female/male ratio.

2021 sees the birth of our NEW Virtual Festival.
Born from hope, it is itself hopeful of a bright, clever and fresh future.
For hundreds of years philosophers and visionaries have adopted a firm belief in hope, and we have borrowed from them over the past year….here is one in particular which has helped us to persevere….

So, what can be expected to be different? At Animation Dingle we coin the phrase, ‘The Difference is Dingle’. A Virtual Festival from Animation Dingle will be different.
It is important to remember too that Dingle Live has restrictions in accommodation, seating capacities, etc; but Dingle Virtual is limitless and we expect global ticket sales. We aim to promote Dingle as a location across the globe and hope that across the globe those who attended, will want to travel to our Live Festival events in the future.
The Idea
This year the Animation Dingle Virtual Festival will be working with cloud-based platform CineSend to bring a new type of Virtual event delivering on the Festival’s mandate. We are working hard to bring the highest calibre of guests, we will have exclusive breakout and meeting rooms where top industry experts and executives can meet, exchange ideas and broker deals; we will have online Portfolio Review slots where students can upload their work and book an appointment with company executives; we have a whole Festival of Animation Shorts and Features Programmes as you might expect from a Festival but with a one log-in system, offered in a similar way to Netflix; our Fundraising Art Auction will run throughout the lead in with proceeds raised going to Pieta House; our Discord meeting rooms; the highest calibre of guests; of course our Awards Ceremony; and much much more. We are aware of how Virtual Fatigued everyone is and we are offering something very different.
So, what can TICKET HOLDERS expect that is different about Animation Dingle?
Our online screening experiences will provide the best user experience possible. CineSend will work closely with Animation Dingle to ensure the ‘look’ and ‘feel’ of the platform are exactly what we envision. Virtual ticket holders will use a single, one fee entry.
Animation Dingle will platform:
- A series of Masterclasses and Workshops delivered by Irish & International animation professionals and Studios, giving Virtual Ticket Holders access to international experts.
- Opportunity for students to upload their portfolio for review by Animation companies with meetings to chat through their work.
