Brown Bag Films are thrilled to announce that Ada Twist, Scientist has been awarded for Outstanding Preschool Animated Series at the first annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards!
The ceremony, which was held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, featured JoJo Siwa as the host of the Children’s & Family Creative Arts Emmy ceremony on Saturday, December 10th and Jack McBrayer as the host of the Children’s & Family Emmy Awards on Sunday, December 11th.
Ada Twist, Scientist was nominated in the Outstanding Preschool Animated Series category alongside nominees Molly of Denali (PBS), Octonauts: Above & Beyond (Netflix), Santiago of the Seas (Nickelodeon) and Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum (PBS).
The series follows the story of the titular Ada Twist, a young scientist who encounters new problems and discoveries with her friends, Rosie Revere, Engineer and Iggy Peck, Architect. Together this trio uses the powers of science and engineering to hypothesize their way to new solutions, learning things about the world along the way!
Based on the best-selling children’s books by Andrea Beaty and illustrated by David Roberts, the series was developed by executive producer Chris Nee (Laughing Wild), Wonder Worldwide, and produced in partnership with President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, with animation done in our Brown Bag Films Dublin studio helmed by Jean Herlihy (Director) and Nayanshi Shaw (Producer).

Rosie’s Rules follows the many adventures of Rosie Fuentes, a hilarious and curious 5-year-old Mexican-American girl who is figuring out how the world around her works. The PBS KIDS show focuses on her multicultural blended family who support Rosie as she learns new things and shares the “rules” about life she’s discovering along the way. The all-new preschool comedy series is streaming free in the U.S. and Canada on PBS KIDS.

StoryBots: Answer Time is the newest StoryBots series, which sees robots Beep, Boop, Bing, Bang and Bo, returning to answer intriguing questions while delivering plenty of laughs along the way. Questions like “Why do people get dizzy?” and “How do lasers work?” will be answered with fun bite-size explanations, enjoyable for kids and grown-ups alike. The show features some amazing guest cameos from stars like Sophie Turner, Danny DeVito, Chrissy Tiegen, Anne Hathaway, and many more.
