Piranha Bar is a multi-disciplinary studio in Dublin which creates animation, VFX, post and live-action for branded and original content all under one roof.
For 25 years, we’ve evolved from a post house into a full-service creative studio, producing standout work across commercials, TV and original content. Our award-winning team of animators, designers, editors, and storytellers combine craft and creativity to deliver work that cuts through, including our animation on the Emmy-winning Last Hijack.
The post-production arm of Piranha Bar’s cuts some of Ireland’s biggest TV hits including Amazon’s hit format show Last One Laughing hosted by Graham Norton, Traitors Ireland, Gogglebox Ireland, Dancing with The Stars, Great Irish Bake Off and Home Of the Year. The VFX team have worked on hit series like Sky’s Small Town Big Story and BODKIN for Netflix. We also created digital-first content for global brands including Juventus and Takaratomy’s Beyblade X, and produced original IP with global reach. Our preschool series Mya Go (156 episodes) continues to air worldwide on RTÉjr, Roku, and Milkshake!
The studio has been cultivating combinations of character animation and an ever evolvingsuite of animation technologies, including motion estimation (AniMotion) and real time rendering into our pipeline. The studio was selected for an Epic Games MegaGrant award to develop its innovative series In Real Life, blending 3D animated characters with live action using the Unreal Engine.
