Little Moon Animation – Lighting Artist (Unreal)

Little Moon Animation is looking for a full time Lighting Artist to join us in creating an exciting new animated series using Unreal Engine (UE5). The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of lighting techniques in Unreal Engine along with a strong creative eye.

Job Description: Lighting Artist (UNREAL)

Location: Remote, IRELAND

Start Date: Summer, 2022

Type of Position: Fixed Term Contract

Type of Position: Fixed Term Contract, Full-Time

Hours: 9am-6pm, Monday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of lighting techniques in the Unreal Engine to create beautifully lit scenes

• Work with the supervisor and leads to create compelling lighting for a variety of environments while maintaining a consistent style

• Anticipate different production constraints with various lighting techniques, and understand the budgeting restrictions associated with them

• Balance the needs of story, style and design in lighting implementation

• Work with Technical Artists to develop tools and assets for lighting

• Solve both creative and technical problems with new tools and techniques

• Create / Update Materials in Unreal

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with Unreal Engine’s Sequencer and Materials

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Good team player with great attitude, dependable and flexible

• Takes direction well and exercises close attention to detail

Salary: Negotiable based on industry experience
