Nova Jones, a brand-new comedy-adventure series from Jam Media that orbits around an 18-year-old pop star and her 12-year-old sister and manager as they go on a concert tour throughout the galaxy launched on CBBC and RTÉ Two on Wednesday 22nd September.
Nova Jones was filmed on location in Belfast with funding from Northern Ireland Screen and Screen Ireland. Britain’s Got Talent Singer Molly Rainford takes the title role as the trendsetting singing sensation and newcomer Grace Barkley is cast as McLaren, her younger but more mature sister. With original music throughout, Nova Jones oozes talent and makes an impact with her out-of-this-world fashion. All episodes are available on BBC iplayer and RTÉ Player.
Nova Jones represents Ireland/UK in Eurovision Kids
For the second year running, the Eurovision #SayHi campaign is bringing kids together to celebrate inclusion and friendship: children across Europe will be standing together with one clear message ‘Say hi, be a friend to someone!’ On 19 November young people all over Europe danced and sang as one to celebrate friendship. This particular year RTÉ teamed up with CBBC and JAM Media to create a bespoke video and song from Nova Jones; encouraging children all across Europe to learn the song and dance and post on social media.
