‘GREYHOUND OF A GIRL’ PREMIERES AT 35TH GALWAY FILM FLEADH

The Irish premiere of animation feature, Greyhound of a Girl, took place at the 35th Galway Film Fleadh this July. Directed by Enzo D’alo, this adaptation of original Irish novel, ‘A Greyhound of a Girl’ published by Roddy Doyle features the voices of Irish talents Brendan Gleeson, Sharon Horgan, Rosaleen Linehan, Charlene McKenna and Mia O’Connor.

Synopsis
Mary is 11 years old and has an insuppressible passion for cooking: she dreams of becoming a great chef. Her grandmother Emer, with whom she has a very special relationship, encourages her to make this dream come true. But every path has its pesky obstacles, and facing them turns into quite an adventure. Mary thus begins a journey across the barriers of time, in which four generations of women come together and get to know each other truly and deeply. A delicate coming-of-age story, sprinkled with irony. The coproduction was supported by the Film Fund Luxembourg with Eurimages, Direzione Generale Cinema E Audiovisivo, Screen Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, Section 481, RTÉ, BFI, Film Center Latvia, Estonian Film Institute, Cultural Endowment Of Estonia, Onegate Media Gmbh.

FRAMEWORKS SHORT FILM ‘WORRY WORLD’ PREMIERES AT 34TH GALWAY FILM FLEADH

Worry World has been awarded funding from Screen Ireland’s funding initiative. Written by Hugh O’Conor, directed by Jessica Patetrson and produced by Shauna Cullen, Worry World is an 8 minute hybrid animated short which explores the question, What if everyone could see your thoughts? In a dystopian society where your every thought is on display, a young factory worker dreams of love, and making her escape. It had it’s world premiere at the 35th Galway Film Fleadh.

JAM MEDIA’S INTERGALACTIC POPSTAR NOVA JONES RETURNED FOR A THIRD SERIES WITH ‘STRICTLY COME DANCING STAR MOLLY RAINFORD IN THE LEAD ROLE

JAM Media’s comedy-adventure series Nova Jones is back with a brand new series for CBBC and RTÉ. Our hero Nova Jones, the 18 year-old pop sensation, tours the galaxy and meets a bunch of brand new characters along the way! Nova Jones played by Molly Rainford (currently starring on BBC’s Strictly Come
Dancing) returns for a second series as the trend-setting singing superstar on CBBC, BBC iPlayer in the UK and RTÉ, RTÉ Player in Ireland. The musical adventure series follows the out-of-this-world exploits of Nova and her crew on board the Jefferson Spaceship.

Nova Jones series three TX weekly on CBBC with the first five episodes available on BBC iPlayer on the same day and repeated weekly on BBC Two. It also launches on RTÉ and RTÉ Player where it continues to rank highly.

DELIVERY DAN SELECTED FOR CARTOON FORUM 2023 IN TOULOUSE

JAM are unveiling its’ new preschool series, Delivery Dan at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse in September.
Synopsis
The stories revolve around Dan, a charismatic and resourceful 7-year-old who is always up for a challenge. With his trusty transformative companion Space Van and his robot pal Rivet by his side, he travels to far-off planets to deliver packages to children from other worlds. Along the way, they encounter eccentric alien beings and exciting challenges. But no matter what obstacles they face, Dan always manages to persevere and make every delivery on time to reveal the unboxing surprise.
