Animation Ireland is delighted to welcome three new member studios in 2023; Algorithm, Curiosity Studio. and Score Draw Media! We are now proudly representing 43 members, including 7 based in Northern Ireland.

Below is a little bit of information about our new members and their projects:

Algorithm is an XR studio that blends creativity and cutting-edge technology to create stunning immersive experiences.

An award-winning team of artists, engineers and producers, our studio is brimming with the vision and expertise to bring the most ambitious ideas to life. We make it real. Our focus is on narrative driven content and we have produced hundreds of projects across live events, location based entertainment, and the tourism and cultural heritage sector.

In December 2022, we launched our Orbit system to give creators the tools to develop content for large scale display surfaces and to bring virtual worlds to physical spaces. We are breaking down the boundaries between the digital and the physical to create beautiful and memorable audience experiences to bring people together.

Curiosity Studio is a multidisciplinary creative studio powered by an international team of award-winning creatives, producers, film makers, scientists and designers.

We merge the latest in science, technology and design to bring stories to life in creative, curious and innovative formats including animation, film and immersive. As producers we also specialise in impact production, audience engagement, festival programming and experiential design.

Our debut animated film ‘The Inventor’ is written and directed by Pixar story veteran Jim Capobianco and brings to life an untold story of Leonardo da Vinci starring Stephen Fry, Daisy Ridley, Matt Berry and Marion Cotillard. Currently in development is Leo’s Workshop, an accompanying TV series to The Inventor.

Score Draw Media is the brand new content production company formed by music and sound company Score Draw Music’s Mark Gordon, alongside media producer Stephen O’Neill. The advent of Score Draw Media follows the team’s successful creation and production of two original early years music series’ for BBC Bitesize; Cara and Martin (2020) and Bella’s Ristorante (2022) which ignited their love of creating, developing and producing music content for children.

Commissioned by Cbeebies/ BBC, the company’s first homegrown IP – Yukee – is in production with TX scheduled for 2024. The show will be distributed globally by Aardman. The 52 x 7’ animated pre -school series is supported by Northern Ireland Screen and tells the heart-warming story of six-year-old Yukee as she experiences the ups and downs associated with learning to play music. Starring the Ukulele as her signature instrument, Yukee’s adventures take place in the shared community garden at her home. Here she meets charming animals who share her love of creating music and encourage her musical development by co-writing songs and performing garden gigs together.

Prior to this venture, over the last 15 years Score Draw Music has specialised in providing original music and sound design for children’s media on a global scale. Their credits span thousands of hours of music score and songs across many well-loved children’s animation properties including Teletubbies, Pinkalicious and Peterrific, Playmobil Top Agents and Deer Squad to name a few

The team are incredibly excited to share their upcoming creation and be part of the Irish animation production community
