Brown Bag Films’ Damien O’Connor Providing “Short Films: Script to Screen” Workshop at XpoNorth Creative Industries Festival

XpoNorth – Scotland’s leading creative industries festival is coming up!

Taking place in Inverness on the 8th and 9th of June, the festival is a hot-bed of creative activity. The only festival of its kind in Scotland covering crafts, fashion and textiles; writing and publishing; screen and broadcast; and music. XpoNorth is a unique event in the UK’s cultural calendar.

This year the festival boasts a packed programme of more than 25 panels and workshops featuring leading industry players in the fields of crafts, publishing, screen, music and more. By night, it offers a plethora of relaxed networking events, coupled with free live music acts and a curated short film programme.

And to top it all off, all of this is FREE to access!

Brown Bag Films’ Episodic Director and Director of Anya, Damien O’Connor, will be providing a training workshop at the festival – Short Films: Script to Screen

Aimed at students and novices alike, From Script To Screen will be an informal look at the steps needed to hone that inkling of an idea into a fully-fledged film. Using ANYA as a template, Damien will cover all aspects of production, from idea generation, scripting, storyboarding to animatic building. Whilst focusing on animation, the session will benefit anyone who has ever wondered how turn ideas into bona fide stories.

The workshop will take place on Thursday 9th June from 3.30pm to 5.30pm (BST) in Tulloch Room, Eden Court, Bishops Road, Inverness, IV3 5SA, United Kingdom.
