Little Moon Animation is moving into production on their first original preschool series Fia’s Fairies

Startup studio Little Moon Animation is moving into production on their first original preschool series, Fia’s Fairies, with the support of RTEJr, Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and the BAI. Fia’s Fairies, a language learning show about Fia and her best friends Ameer, Bláithín and Cuán, will debut 26x 5-minute episodes across RTEJr’s linear and digital broadcast platforms in 2022/2023. The series aims to introduce children to the Irish language and to promote a positive disposition towards it among young children and their families.

Little Moon was recently one of 10 animation studios selected as a recipient of the Animation Concept and Innovation Fund, in partnership with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and Animation Ireland. Through this fund, Little Moon plans to continue to expand its educational outreach with the development of a digital language learning games app for mobile and tablet. The app, Language Magic, will teach children new languages through immersive storytelling and interactive game play and will be ready for market in 2022 alongside the first broadcast of Fia’s Fairies

Little Moon will also be pitching their latest development project The Scavengers at Cartoon Forum this September. The Scavengers, supported by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland and RTEJr, is an action-comedy for 8-12 year olds that follows Arrow and his best-bud-robot ARG around post apocalyptic earth.
