Commenting on the 2020 participants Gareth Lee, Manager of Screen Skills Ireland, said, “We are delighted to be able to offer a new round of companies the opportunity to participate in Screen Leaders during these challenging times for the screen industries. This year’s participants are of a very high calibre and encompass a wide array of areas within the screen industries, including animation, TV series, children’s entertainment, VOD, education and training, and production services. We are very excited to work with this diverse and talented cohort, and we look forward to supporting them as they progress through the Screen Leaders programme.”
Speaking about last year’s programme, participants Vanessa Henneman and Jara Lucieer from Henneman Agency (Netherlands) said, “Screen Leaders was one of the best things that has happened to our company recently. Apart from getting the opportunity to analyse, rethink and restructure our organisation with the help of great experts and coaches, it also meant a lot to our personal development as leaders. It felt like therapy for our company and we came out stronger and more focused.”
Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, the one to one coaching sessions covering strategy, finance, and leadership, will take place online from September. Participants will then come together for residential visits in Limerick, Ireland in October, and Brussels, Belgium, in January. The final schedule for the programme may change subject to any developments related to COVID-19.
Screen Leaders is funded by the Creative Europe Programme and Screen Skills Ireland.
