The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced the nominations for the British Academy Children’s Awards 2016.
Two Irish productions received nominations, Brown Bag’s ‘Peter Rabbit’ is nominated in the International category & Giant Animation and Boulder Media’s ‘Go Jetters’ in the Preschool – Animation category.
The Children’s BAFTA Awards honour the very best in children’s media.
‘Go Jetters’ follows four adventure seeking superheroes as they explore places all around Earth with their teacher, mentor and disco-loving friend, Ubercorn. It is a Cbeebies and BBC Worldwide co-production, in conjunction with Fisher Price, produced by Giant Animation and Boulder Media in Ireland.
On the nomination Alex Sherwood & Ben Harper, Co-Directors of ‘Go Jetters’ said “It’s an amazing honor to be nominated for a BAFTA. Creating this exciting show has been a fantastic journey for all of us, and one we couldn’t have done without the incredibly talented Go Jetters team.”
‘Peter Rabbit’ is based on the characters created by Beatrix Potter in her classic children’s series “The Tales of Peter Rabbit” and is a Silvergate Media production in conjunction with Brown Bag Films, Penguin UK and Nickelodeon USA. Brown Bag Films has received 6 Emmy® Award wins for Peter Rabbit over the past 3 years.

The ceremony will be held at the Roundhouse, London, on Sunday 20 November and will be hosted by British actor, writer and comedian Doc Brown.
