Kavaleer Productions was founded in November 2001. The studio’s early work in filmmaking garnered awards from Portugal to China and secured official selection in 100 international festivals on five continents. In 2004, Kavaleer moved to their current home at Dublin’s Digital Hub, placing the studio at the heart of Ireland’s digital media sector and giving the studio a highly competitive edge through a number of strategic technological partnerships. Over the past seven years Kavaleer has married an ever-expanding list of commercial activities with a strategic IP development slate.

As well as successfully producing TV pilots, e-learning content and high-end commercials, Kavaleer have also co-produced the RTE children’s series ‘Lifeboat Luke’ (52 X 5’) with Straandlooper Animation in Belfast. Kavaleer launched their first full length TV series ‘Garth and Bev’ (52 x 11’) which was an official Irish / Canadian co-production with Halifax-based Copernicus Studios which can be seen on CBeebies, RTE and in territories worldwide from Mexico to Australia. In Summer 2010 Kavaleer signed a development deal with Super RTL and
E1 Entertainment for their new show ‘So Mortified’ (52x11’). The studio won Best Animation and the Grand Prix at the 2010 Digital Media Awards for their film ‘Hasan Everywhere’ which was also nominated for an Irish Film and Television Award. Kavaleer have recently moved into iPhone and iPad development with a slate of apps due for staggered release through winter 2010 /Spring 2011.

Kavaleer’s next show, the pre-school property ‘Bedheads’ is slated for pre-production in early 2011.
