Igloo Animations short film, Deposits, received an ‘Honorable Mention’ at the Dublin Animation Film Festival on Saturday 21st October, where it was screened in Dun Laoghaire’s Pavilon Theatre.
Directed by Trevor Courtney and written by Adrienne Michel-Long, Deposits concerns the connection of all the the ‘Disappeared’, who are the remains of those murdered by the Provisional Irish Republican Army and those killed centuries earlier by the British Redcoats. In common they are buried without trace, but are connected by hopes for discovery.
The film was also screened at the the Galway Film Fleadh earlier this year, and will be screening at the Cork Film Festival in November.
Deposits is an Igloo Animations production funded by the Irish Film Board.
