Brown Bag Films WINS Asia Matters Business Award 2019

The Brown Bag Films team enjoyed a terrific night at the Asia Matters Awards on Friday, 22nd November… bringing home the inaugural Irish Investor in Asia Award for our acquisition of BASE studio in Bali which was rebranded to Brown Bag Films Bali earlier this year.

The Asia Matters Awards took place in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Friday evening, at a Black Tie Gala Dinner hosted by Grainne Seoige.

Asia Matters CEO Martin Murray said the Bali acquisition was “game-changing and demonstrates a significant contribution by Brown Bag Films to economic growth, employment, skills and corporate social responsibility in Indonesia”.

Brown Bag Films are delighted to receive this award. It’s shared with management teams in both Bali and Dublin who worked so hard to integrate together to ensure we can produce such high quality animation. It’s been a highlight to work with such talented technical and artistic teams in Bali and we are ready to expand beyond the 340 staff there as we continue to grow our business.” — Cathal Gaffney, Managing Director, Brown Bag Films

Launched in 2011 by Dr. T.P Hardiman, Alan Dukes and Martin Murray, Asia Matters is Ireland’s only Asia think tank and is 100% focused on building dynamic business links and informed understanding between Asia and Ireland to drive win-win partnerships and economic growth.
